Kristie Lynn Grooms Nelson, age 39, of Goshen, New York, formerly of Newport, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010, at her home in New York surrounded by her loving family.
Kristie worked as a dental hygienist for Dental Associates in New Milford, CT.
Kristie was preceded in death by her grandparents Jay and Charlsie Williford and Floyd and Dorothy Grooms.
Kristie is survived by her husband Chad R. Nelson; children Connor, Owen, and Audrey Nelson, all of Goshen, NY; mother Carol Ann Grooms Wilmot; father George Hooper Grooms, both of Newport; sisters Stacy Grooms of Newport; and Wendy Grooms of CA; mother-in-law and father-in-law Maralee and David Nelson of UT; also other family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Middletown, NY with President Scott Ey officiating. Visitation was from 1:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the services.
Burial was held in Salem City Cemetery, Salem, UT on June 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
