PRESSLY, JERRY STEPHENS - age 81 of Knoxville, dearly loved husband, father, and grandfather died Monday, July 18 in Panama City Beach, Florida. Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rose Mary Kitts Pressly; his three children, Barry and wife Elisha Hillis Pressly; Suzanne Pressly Lytz; Camille Pressly Pierce and husband Kelley Pierce; six grandchildren; sister-in-law Dr. Velma Pressly; and nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas S. and Camille Pressly; brother Thomas David Pressly; and son-in-law Timothy Lytz. Jerry was a graduate of Knoxville High School Class of 1947 and a 1957 graduate of the University of Tennessee. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Jerry was an insurance agent and executive for more than 40 years. A memorial service honoring Jerry's life will be held Saturday 2pm at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church with Rev. Roy Zinn officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, 9132 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923 or the Kidney Foundation of East Tennessee, 4450 Walker Boulevard #2, Knoxville, TN 37917.
