He was a member of the 25 year Club at ALCOA and a lifelong member of Riverview Baptist Church in Rockford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence H. and Martha Graves Latham; sons, Gary and Ricky Latham; son-in-law, Norman Tipton; and daughter-in-law, Shirley Latham. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Tressa “Sis” Tipton; son, Craig Latham; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and James Metcalf; grandchildren, Cissy, Billy “Joe”, Jacob, Sarah, Tabatha, Tiffany, C. J., Zackary, Kirsten, Kasey, Logan, Lindsay, Jason, and Charity; sixteen great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Remona Latham; special friend, Cecilia McGowan; best friend, Carl “Mac” McMillian; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather 11:00 AM Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Clark’s Grove Cemetery for the graveside service and interment, Rev. W. A. Galyon officiating.
