Martha Lynn Potter McNally, age 61, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Maryville Baptist Tabernacle. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She had an uncanny ability to write the most beautiful prose on a moment’s notice. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Thomas and Martha Elizabeth Potter; brother, Larry Dale Turpin; mother-in-law, Reva Elizabeth McNally; and brother-in-law, Billy Charles Riddle. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Jerry McNally; daughters and son-in-laws, Sherry and Greg Williams, Angela and Jeff Pryor, and Lisa and Jimmy Pierce; two loving granddaughters, Sydney Brooke and Natalie Gabrielle Pryor; brother, George Thomas Potter; sisters and brother-in-law, Carolyn Potter Jackson and Susie and Steve Nuchols; father-in-law, James Benjamin McNally; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary Lynn and Vicky Diane McNally and Roger Dale and Brenda Kay McNally; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 8:00 PM Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Rick Smelcer and Rev. Steve Nuchols officiating. Family and friends will gather 11:00 AM Friday at Maryville Baptist Tabernacle Cemetery for the interment.
