(July 23, 1947 - July 12, 2011) James Dyke age 63 of Newport passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was a member of McGaha Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, J. D. Dyke; sister-in-law, Mary Violet Dyke and father-in-law, Wilford Ottinger. He is survived by his wife, Diane Dyke of Newport; son, Matthew Dyke of Newport mother, Virginia Dyke of Newport; brother Bill Dyke and wife, Teresa of Newport; sisters, Diane Cogdill and husband, Roger of Dandridge; mother-in-law, Mable Ottinger of Newport and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 pm Friday, July 15, 2011 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Presnell officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 am Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, July 15, 2011 prior to funeral service.
