WHALEY, CLAY - age 93, of Sevierville formerly of Maryville passed away Wednesday September 13, 2000. He was born in the Big Greenbrier section of the Great Smoky Mountains. He was before his illness, an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Alcoa. Preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Stansberry Whaley; four sisters and three brothers; parents, William & Sally Jane Whaley.
Survivors: sisters, Zina Lindsey Davis of Sevierville, Lorene Huskey of Townsend; several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and great nephews. Family and friends will meet at Boyd's Creek Cemetery in Sevier Co. at 4 p.m. Friday September 15, 2000 for graveside service & interment, Rev. Rick Hollifield, Rev. Timothy Stinnett officiating. The family will greet friends after the service Friday at the cemetery. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

Clay Whaley, 93, of Sevierville and formerly of Maryville died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000. He was born in the Big Greenbrier section of the Great Smoky Mountains and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Alcoa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Stansberry Whaley, four sisters and three brothers. His parents were William and Sally Jane Whaley.
Survivors include his sisters, Zina Lindsey Davis of Sevierville and Lorene Huskey of Townsend; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
