Margaret Evelyn “Judy” Shamblin age 77 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Judy was a faithful member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Her life is best described by one of her many favorite Bible verses, Philippians, 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Preceded in death by: Father, L.C. “Tom” Hitch and Mother, Rebecca “Eb” Elford Hitch. Survivors include: Devoted husband, Vernon Rymer Shamblin; Children & Spouses, Shay & Twila Shamblin, Tom & Terry Shamblin, and Charis & Richard Davis; Grandchildren & Spouses, Josh & Jennifer Shamblin and Mandy & Chris Regan, Jessica Shamblin & husband Matthew Rasmussen, Martha Cate and Andy Spencer, Jacob Shamblin & fiancé Aimee Ensley; Caleb Wolfe, Chloe Wolfe, Chris Davis, Logan Davis; Great-Grandchildren, Beau Shamblin, Kate Shamblin, Keaton Regen, and Gilbert Rasmussen; Sister & Brother-in-law, Tommie Joyce & Garland Delozier; Nieces and Spouses, Carolyn & Fred Forster; Debbie & David Franklin; Nephew & Spouse, Mike & Ann Delozier; many other special friends and relatives. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Raymond Burnett and Rev. Allan Atchley officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 13, 2010 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
