Christopher (Chris) E. Lawson, age 57, passed away at his home on June 25, 2011. He was a 1972 graduate of CCHS and attended Walter State Community College. He owned and operated his own business for many years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father John Lawson, brother Marc Lawson, grandparents Forrest and Ruby Shoemaker, Lon and Addie Lawson. He is survived by his mother Joann Lawson, daughter Christy Lawson, grandchildren Madison Williams and Montana Francis, sister Pam Lawson (Greg Stewart), nephews Justin Stewart, Matthew Stewart, aunts Linda Householder and Judy Layman, former wife and friend Gwendia Lawson and special friend Doris Ottinger. A memorial Service will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday June 28, 2011 at the First Church of Nazarene on Second Street with Rev. Robert Cain officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm prior to the memorial service. In liew of flowers the family ask the donations be made to Celebrate Life Cancer support group in care of Michelle Sexton at 824 Tucker Place Way Dandridge, TN 37725.
