Mary Imogene “Jean” Anderson Frye, age 81, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She loved to travel, loved Cades Cove, and had a sparkling sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Frye; father, Thomas Porter Anderson; mother and step-father, Fannie Josephine Wilcox Anderson and Dean Ledford; paternal grandparents, David and Mary Jane Quiett Anderson; maternal grandparents, Jordan R. and Sarah Margaret Gregg Wilcox; and siblings, Margaret Alice Morton, Lawrence Horace Anderson, Edna Clare Ross, Norma Mae Anderson, and Joyce Jearlene Turpin. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Jim Spoolstra; sons and daughter-in-law, Benford and Peggy Frye and Victor Frye; grandchildren and spouses, Kimberly Spoolstra, Aaron and Jayme Spoolstra, Trenton and Christiana Spoolstra, Beverly and Todd Fritz, Alan Frye, and Rachel Bonnes; eight great-grandchildren; very special sister, Linda Cable; very special sister-in-law, Wanda Frye Taylor; special friend, Nellie Winters; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and beloved pet, Susie. Family and friends will gather 1:00 PM Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery for the graveside service and interment, Rev. Ben Ward officiating.
