(May 9, 1924 - June 16, 2007) Jennie Butler Anderson, age 83, of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2007, at the family home. She was born May 9, 1924 in Blount County and was a member of Third Street Baptist Church and retired from Proffitt’s Department Store. Preceded in death by husband, Lawerance Anderson; sons, Joseph Thomas, and Lawerance Jr.; father, Joseph Allen Butler; mother, Nora Roulette McMillan; special step father, Joe McMillian; brothers, Obie, Howard, and Alvin Butler, and George McMillan; and sisters, Violet Largent, Phoebe Malonee, and Josie Cooper. Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Judy and Dan Bunch Jr. of Maryville, Kathy and Pete Moreno of Texas; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Dover of Maryville; very special sister in law, Evelyn McMillan; sisters in law, Linda Cable, and Mary Imogene Frye; special friends, Leroy Cogburn, Wilma Hipps, Lillian Proffitt Law, and Lee Drum; and a host of other friends and loved ones. The family would like to thank Dr. John J. Ingram III MD and all of East Tennessee Medical Group, all the doctors and nurses at Blount Memorial Hospital and Home Health, Third Street Baptist Church for the beautiful flowers, cards, food, and most of all, the prayers. A special thank you to Wilma Hipps. The funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Steve Hickman and Rev. Darrell Croft officiating.
