Henderson, James Earl, 68, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, August 22 at St. Mary's Hospital. Member Holston Baptist Church and U.S. Air Force veteran. Preceded in death by parents John H. Henderson and Anna Rebecca Cates, brother George Edward Henderson, sisters Mary Nell Henderson and Eunice Roberts. Survived by wife Cherel Jean, son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren: James Gareth and Janet, Joshua Gareth, Caleb Eli, Anna Grace, and Samuel Isaac; daughter, Crystal Elyse Henderson; Brother and sister-in-law John Henderson, Jr., and Ruth. Sisters Frances Ledford of Franklin, NC, Betty Hambrick, Patsy Henderson, Diana Henderson of Strawberry Plains, Dorcus Sanford of Parish, AL, sister-in-law, Carolyn Henderson, and brother-in-law Frank Roberts. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 P.M. Tuesday at Pleasant Grove (Piney) Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment at 1:00 P.M. Active Pallbearers: Calvin Greene, Tony Ledford, Chad and Darek Henderson, Joshua and Caleb Henderson.
