Raney, Beulah Burnett, our Dear Aunt Beulah, age 101, went home to join her Heavenly Father and family on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. She was born September 19, 1912, the first of five children born to the late Lemuel A. Burnett and Etta Porterfield Burnett Jenkins. Beulah graduated from Knoxville High School in June 1930. She later attended night school for accounting. On December 19, 1931, she married the love of her life Hugh Raney. They were blessed with 45 years of happiness until his passing in 1976. She retired from Archer and Smith after many dedicated years. She was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, sister, Zetta (Bill) Darnell; brothers, Raymond (Cecil), William (Cora) and Arthur (Iona); nephews, Ronald Foster; Art, Gary, and Billy Burnett and Eddie Canup; and many other cherished family members and friends. She is survived by her nieces, caregiver , Brenda (Ricky deceased)Kerley, Barbara (Charlie deceased)Chesney, Zetta (Sam deceased) Stout, Patty (Jerry) Rainey; nephews, Kenny (Carolyn) Canup, Marvin (Sandra) Canup; dear and devoted friends, Dan (Bea deceased) Swadis, Lynn Patrick, Bobbie Pinkston, Naomi Burnett, Ellen Jackson and the women of Hillcrest United Methodist Church Fidelis Class. Being a longtime member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church, her wish, in lieu of flowers, was for memorial donations to be made to the Fidelis Class in care of H.U.M.C. 1615 Price Avenue. Knoxville, Tennessee 37920. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Friday at 11:00 AM for graveside services, Rev. Richard Richter officiating. Friends may call at their convenience on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 AM at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com
