He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia James; parents, Roy and Alma Lucy James; and brother, Mischer James. He is survived by his sons, Larry (Karen) James, Danny (Karen) James, Terry (Barbara) James, Ronnie (Glenda) James and Tommy James; daughter, Doris Ann Holt, all of Newport; grandchildren, Robbie, Benjamin, Miranda, Clancy, Mitchell, Wayne, Eddie, Douglas, Bradley and Brandon James, Coty Adams, Missy Foster, Angela Fox, Aubrey Seay, Scottie and Sherry Hicks; several great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; uncle Scott James; aunt, Essie James; and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in Huff Cemetery, Cosby, TN. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to help with funeral expenses.
