Guy Henry Linginfelter, 68, of Louisville, went home to be with the Lord after a long illness. He was a deacon of Zion Chapel Baptist Church and the vice president of Zion Chapel Cemetery Association. He was preceded in death by parents, Guy H. Sr. and Mary Watkins Linginfelter; and brother, Jack Linginfelter. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rose Matthews Linginfelter; daughter, Teresa Payne; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Kevin Myers; grandchildren, Corey Payne, Jaimie Payne, Nathaniel Ramsey, Isiah Ramsey, Nathan Myers, Jacob Sellers, Lukas Myers, and Kaleb Myers; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Bill Pitt; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Robin Linginfelter; several nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Zion Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Malone officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to help with the funeral expenses. The family will receive friends 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
