Preceded in death by her husband, Burl Whitaker and daughter, Jeannie Baker of Roanoke, VA. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Cardwell of Maryville, Susan Jones and husband, Alan of Maryville; son in law David Baker of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Michael Cardwell and his wife Angie, Marc Cardwell of Louisville, Rosemary Jones and Evan Engelstad of Indiana, Pennsylvania, Valerie Jones and husband Brett Ray, Nicholas Baker of Mecklinburg, Virginia, Samantha Baker of Roanoke, Virginia; great grandchildren, Alex Cardwell and Travis Jones, Jace Hodge, Willow Ray; great great grandchild, Gabriel Jones; sisters in law, Aileen Long and Pat Whitaker of Lenior City. The family would like to thank Dr. Kim Cline and Dr. Taylor Weatherbee and their staffs for their loving and compassionate care, along with UT Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UT Hospice Fund or to the Blount County Animal Shelter.
