She was a member of East Alcoa Baptist Church and of the Order of Eastern Star, Acacia in Knoxville. She retired from Alpha Industry as a seamstress after 32 years of service. Preceded in death by husband, Ronald D. Williams ; son, Michael Stafford; parents, Daniel R. Murphy & Charlsie "Granny" Smith; brother, Rev. Dan Murphy; sisters, Pat Ross, Erma Murphy, Bobbie Jo Murphy, Georgie Hayes. Survivors include; daughters and sons in law, Susan & Gary Lankford of Fall Branch, Tenn. Sherry & Kenneth Best of Maryville, Georgia & David Carson of TX; daughter, Eleanor Cooper of New York; grandchildren, Renee Best, Lynn Best, Tara & Travis Farley, David Carson; great grandchildren, Christopher Best, Katie McFalls, Sarah Carson; sister, Frances Gross of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Service will be at 3 p.m. Sun. July 22, 2001 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. David Randolph officiating. Interment in Caylor 's Chapel Church Cemetery with Rev.
