MCCLAIN SYLVIA SANDRA (CLARK) - It is with great heartache and sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother on Thursday May 12, 2011, she lost a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born on April 28, 1942, the seventh child of the late Otis and Sylvia (Granny Yoo-Hoo) McClain. Sandra is survived by her siblings Delores Raby, Wilma Moose, Michael and Carlos McClain. Left to cherish her memory are three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Tammy Clark, Ryan and Kim Clark, and Barry Clark and fiancée Sandra Kennedy. Her grandchildren Erica, Maylea, Christopher, Caitlin, Jessa, Jenna and Jeremiah; great grandchildren William and Andrew who will greatly miss their Mamaw Sandy. Lifelong friends JoAnn and the late Ted Luttrell. We would like to thank all of our family and friends for their support and loving help through the past year. In closing of a beautiful and loving mother who taught us to live , love, laugh, and what the true meaning of family is. We leave you mom with a poem you wrote for us. " Each dawning of another day- She rose and said a prayer that life would love her children-Even when she was not there. Life has loved her children- Sometimes harshly, sometimes kind. Tis now I ask the blessings for this Mother who is mine." Please join us in celebrating the courageous, beautiful, and loving life of our mother at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Pastor Charles Lawson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday May 18 at McClain/Grubb Cemetery for interment services at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
