Marvin R. Davidson, age 82 of Maryville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Asbury Place of Maryville. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and former owner, operator and coal miner in Ohio for 25 years and a stone quarry in South Florida. In his later years, he was owner and operator of Carol’s Trailer Sales in Townsend, TN. He was the happiest behind the wheel of an RV or any heavy equipment and playing cards with friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. Preceded in death by: Parents, Arthur & Mildred Davidson; Brother, Donnie Davidson. Survivors include: Wife of 63 years, Carol June Blacka Davidson; Children, Bruce & Debbie Davidson of Gallipolis, OH, Brenda Bost of Manhattan, NY, Timothy & Katherine Davidson of Maryville, and Thomas & Dena Davidson of Maryville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; Brother, Jim Davidson of Dover, OH; Sister, Faye Larkin of New Philadelphia, OH; Brother, Gary & Sally Davidson of Brunswick, OH; Sister, Doris & Dan Manula of New Philadelphia, OH; many nieces, nephews and other family also survive. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 11, 2015 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
