Vivian Goodman Cobb, age 72, of Locust Grove, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013. She retired from Consolidated Freightways in 2002. She is survived by daughter, Tammy Goodman Brown; son-in-law, Tim Brown; granddaughter, Bobbie K. Brown; grandson, Dillon Brown, Locust Grove, Ga.; brother, Larry and wife Almedia Goodman, Loudon; and sister-in-law, Sandra Goodman, Jonesboro, Ga., along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother, Dale Goodman; mother, Stella Marie Rider; and father, Ralph Goodman of Tennessee. Vivian had many wonderful friends, with several of them who remained by her side until her passing. A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 7, at Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, Greenback, with the Rev. Terry Dale Goodman officiating. Graveside service will follow the memorial service at the church cemetery.
