Betty Lee McNeil Clark, age 86, of Heiskell, TN passed away on January 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 24, 1929 in Knoxville, TN and was a graduate of Knoxville High School Class of 1947. While a long-time resident of Fountain City she maintained a loving home for her family, as well as a welcoming home for the many friends of her three children. She was a former member of the Ftn. City Recreation Commission, a baseball mom, Scouting Den Mother, Brownie Troop Leader, avid bowler at Ftn. Lanes, lover of slots and a yard sale fanatic. She was also very proud to be a 55 year survivor of Type I diabetes. Predeceased by parents, Charles and Lillie McNeil; son, Robby Clark; sister, Louise Hutcheson; brothers, Lawrence and Glenn McNeil. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Daryl Clark; daughter, Darlene Simpson; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Emmory Clark; grandchildren, Brian (Tonya) Simpson, Lori (Randy) Fitzgibbons, Jamie (Francis) D’Cruz; step-grandchildren, Dan Jordan and Chuck Thompson; seven very special grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sue Clark Maniez; brother-in-law, Eddie (Carol) Clark; “good buddy” niece, Donna Clark; several special nieces and nephews. Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Amedisys Hospice for their loving care and support during Mrs. Clark’s illness. Family and friends will meet 2:45 pm Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery for a graveside service at 3 pm. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
