Watson, Johnnie Inez Parrott, age 94, passed away on April 16th, 2011 at Brakebill Nursing Home. She was born in Sevier County on May 20th, 1916 to the late William Benjamin and Sarah Evelyn Spicer Parrott. Mrs. Watson retired from Standard Knitting Mill in Knoxville after 31 years and she will be remembered for her love of quilting and all the beautiful quilts she made for her family. She is preceded in death by daughter: Margaret Watson Rose, by brothers: Oscar, Shelby, and Earl Parrott, by sisters: Lula Bailey, Suetta McMillan, Mildred White, Gertrude Perryman, Ilo Brewer, by special sister-in-law: Blanche Watson Brashear, and by former husband: Oscar Watson. She is survived and will be greatly missed by sons: Jack Watson and wife Jo Ann of Lenoir City, TN, Max Watson and wife Jeri of Inwood, WV, by daughters: Dortha McCarter and husband J.R. of Louisville, TN, Delores Oakley and husband Howard, by grandchildren: Karen Whitson and husband Sam, Mark Watson and wife Stacy, Todd Rose and wife Tracy, Robin Martin and husband Randy, Leah Carrico, Jimmy Watson, Heather Powers and husband Mike, by great-grandchildren: Marissa Valentine and husband Lloyd, Shelby Watson, Brandon Rose, Austin Carrico, Kiley Watson, Darby and Riley Martin, Kellen Powers, Meagan Lewelling, Katie and Marah Bowman, by great-great-granddaughters: Abigail and Olivia Valentine, and several nieces and nephews she loved dearly, including special niece Rena Davis.
