Empsy Mae Holt Stinson, 78, of Parrottsville, left for her heavenly home Tuesday, September 21, 1999, at her home.
She was a member of the Basinger Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Stokely Van Camp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Stinson; parents, Burgett and Bessie Holt; and sister, Moese Mantooth.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and William (Tommy) Holbert, of Knoxville and son, John Burnett Stinson, of Parrottsville; grandchildren, Keith Holbert, of Arizona, Tina Holbert, of Knoxville, Cheryl Ottinger and Debra Shults, both of Newport, and Burlin Stinson, of Parrottsville; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Christeen Stinson, of Newport, Loretta Duckett, of Maryville, and Juanita Strong, of Ohio; brothers, George Holt, of Jefferson City and Glenn Holt, of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 24, at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Haney officiating. Interment will be in the Harned Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Manes Funeral Home is in charge.
