Boling-Glidewell engagement
Melissa Diane Gurley Boling, daughter of Jerry Lynn Gurley and Shirley Jean Floyd Gurley, of Maryville, is engaged to marry John Michael Glidewell, son of Clancy Glidewell Jr., of Knoxville, and the late Madge Laverne Smith Glidewell, at 2 p.m. May 11 at the Greenbelt Park behind The Daily Times. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Kaley Floyd and Ola Williams Floyd and the late Silas Gurley and Irene Duckett Gurley.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late John Smith and Pearl George Smith and the late Clarence Glidewell Sr. and Elvie Dickey Glidewell.
The bride-to-be is a 1985 graduate of Heritage High School. She has been a deputy sheriff with Blount County Sheriff’s Office for 20 years.
The bridegroom-to-be is a 1976 graduate of Central High School and 1990 graduate of Walters State Community College. He is semi-retired.
The couple are both members of East Tennessee Shiloh Riders.
