She was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church and Ladies American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Della Waters; brothers, Yandall and George Haun; sister, Delta V. Trentham. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Manzanieta and Butch Shepherd and Rosalind and Frank Self, all of Newport; grandchildren, Melanie Shepherd, of Lake Worth, Fla., and Joshua Self and wife, Alicia, of Newport; great-grandchildren, Tristan Self and Aaron (Gabe) Self, both of Newport; niece, Barbara McAndrew, of Dandridge; nephews, Benny Trentham and Andrew Glenmore Smith, both of Newport; and special friend, Dorothy Rader, of Newport; also other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Dalton officiating. Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral service. Manes in charge.
