Dorothy E. (Webb) Williams, born 9 December 1934, age 80, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, 10, February 2015, at her home peacefully with her devoted husband Donald of 59 years and her family by her side after a long battle with Alzheimers disease. She was a devoted Wife and Mother who enjoyed church and spending time with her family. She loved her children and grandchildren but took special pride in her nine great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgie Clark and Dave Webb, bothers, Charles (PA) Clark and Clay Clark. She is survived by her sons, John David and Sue Williams, Charleston, SC, Darrell Steven and Dawn Williams, Newport, TN; daughter, Donna Leigh and Danny DeMello, Morristown, TN; grandchildren: John David and Crystal Williams, Jennifer and Joey Robertson, Corie and Wayne Holt, Jordan and Jessica Hansel, Jacob Hansel, Adam DeMello and Jessica Williams; nine great-granddaughters, brother, Jimmy and Linda Clark; sisters: Emma Jean Stinson, Peggy and Harold Huff; special nieces: Thelma Woodson and Vickie Lunsford; special nephew: Allen (Butch) Jackson; and sister-in-law, Joyce Clark. The family would like to thank all of those who brought food, comfort and prayer during this difficult time. We would like to say a special “Thank You” to her Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice family: Bessie Brown, Vera Norton, Ashley Weeks, Rev. Ron Carrell and everyone who helped in any way whose love, prayers and compassion gave us comfort in our time of grief. Also a special thanks to John Bryd, owner of KFC(Newport), Food City West (Newport)and all of their employee’s for all the kindness and compassion shown to us over the years. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association P. O. Box 10088, Knoxville, TN 37939-9910, or a charity of their choice. No one could have better neighbors and friends than we have. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday, February 12, 2015 with Funeral services following at 8:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Pastor Justin Graham officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 13, 2015 in Union Cemetery. Family and friends may sign the guest register on line at: www.manesfuneralhome.com. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
