Their son and his family hosted the celebration. The couple were married Aug. 19, 1962, at Greenback. Dr. Albert Cropp officiated. Their family includes son David Maxwell and wife Diane, of Maryville, and granddaughter Lauren Maxwell, of Maryville. Mr. Maxwell is retired from ALCOA Inc. Mrs. Maxwell is retired as a teacher in the Blount County School System. They are members of Fairview United Methodist Church.
