(April 4, 1950 - June 11, 2007) Willadean Phillips age 57 of Newport passed away Monday June 11, 2007 at her home. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her farther Wade Phillips and her sister Joann Smith. She is survived by her mother Iva Phillips of Newport, Brothers, Jaybugg Phillips of Cosby, L.H. Phillips, and J.R. Phillips of Newport, Sisters Freda Byrd and Peggy Wilson of Newport, Judy Mason of Gatlinburg. She will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends, and nephew Bill Wilson who was like a son to her is stationed in Afghanistan. Funeral Services will be held 8 pm Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Cagle officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6pm until 8pm prior to the service. Family and friends will meet 10 m Wednesday morning June 13, 2007 at Union Cemetery.
