Resided in Dandridge, TN
James Lynn "Jim" Shults, 57, of Dandridge began his eternal life on Monday, April 28, 2014. Jim was greeted in heaven by his father and mother, Dr. John A. and Pauline Newman Shults and his wife of 26 years, Joyce Ownby Shults.
Left to cherish his memory are his step-daughter, Ka Ownby of Haw River, NC; brother, Joe Shults; sisters, Johnny Shults and Jane (Mark) Chambers; step-mother, Shirley Shults, and step-brother, Allen Thompson, all of Dandridge; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Michael Click of Haw River, NC; special friend, Kim Williams and dear cousin, George Newman, both of Dandridge along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jim never met a stranger and was always willing to do for others. His magnetic personality garnered him a host of life-long friends that were as close as family. He was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church, Chattanooga, TN and he and his wife owned and operated Shults Trucking in Ooltewah, TN for over 20 years before he retired in 2012.
The family will receive friends at Hill's Union United Methodist Church, 2383 Hill's Chapel Rd., Dandridge, TN on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. A Memorial and Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow with Rev. Sherry Franklin and Johnny Franklin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to "Hill's Union United Methodist Ministries" and indicate that it is for the "Jim Shults Memorial" in the memo line. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville, TN.
