Clift, Wilma Knott (Billie) age 82 of Knoxville passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011, at her home. Active member of Lyons Creek Baptist Church and the WMU. Member of the BSF Bible Study, The Nothing Matters Hatters Red Hat Club, and the Carter Family Community and Education Club. Also, former secretary of Carter Super Seniors. Preceded in death by husband, John H. Clift, Sr.; parents, Floyd and Bertha Knott; and sister, Evelyn Sherrod. Survived by son, John Howell Clift, Jr. and wife Pam; beloved grandchildren, Matthew and Katie; sister, Helen Roach; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Arthur Moreland, and Mary Ellen Cox; nieces and nephews, Stacey and Sheila Roach, Steve and Sandra Roach, Susan and JD Rutledge, Denny and Susan Sherrod, Susan and Jimmy Kyle Davis, Cindy and George Lewis, Ginger and Wayne Atkins, Amy and Mark Meredith; special niece and nephew, Pam and Mike Brown; and special cousins, Betty Kinder, Skippy Carpenter Bishop, and Betty Walker. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Giles and Dr. Jim McCluskey officiating followed by the interment at Trentville Cemetery. Pallbearers: Matthew Clift, Mike Brown, Steve Roach, Stacey Roach, Dusty Pierce, Judd Davis, Jimmy Kyle Davis, George Lewis, Wayne Atkins, and JD Rutledge. Honorary Pallbearers: The Nothing Matters Hatters Red Hat Club. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999.
