Huffaker, 81, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at his home in Fort Worth after a brief illness. Private graveside service 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials: donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of choice. John was born June 25, 1920, in Knoxville, Tenn. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corp. in December 1941. He served with the 450th Bomb Squadron in Europe and held the EAME Theater Ribbon with six Bronze Stars for campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe, Ardennes and Air Offensive Europe. He had lived in Fort Worth since 1946, when he was stationed at Carswell Air Force Base. John married Ina L. Fanning Nov. 30, 1946. In 1986 he retired from his custom furniture company. Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Ina L. Huffaker of Fort Worth; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Paula Huffaker of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Laurel and David Kliever of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Alexandra Huffaker of Austin, John M.
