February 24, 1959 - October 11, 2017 Phillip “Phil” Michael Lawson, 58, of Seymour passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. He was an honest, hardworking gentleman who had a love of family, friends, and the Tennessee Volunteers. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Lawson; brother, Patrick Lawson; and his brother-in-law and best friend, Sam McMurray. Phil is survived by his loving wife, Kay Galyon-Lawson; step-son, Brandon Galyon; father, Jack H. Lawson; brother, Dennis (Lisa) Lawson; sisters-in-law, Carolyn McMurray, Jerri (Tom) McCarter, and Becky Lawson; brother-in-law, Ruble Welch; and a host of close family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday, October 15th at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour.
