DALTON, VORENA WOLFENBARGER age 95 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 6, 2009. Born June 19, 1913, she was a member of Johnson Freewill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Selda and Walter Wolfenbarger; daughter, Betty Bailey; granddaughter, Kathy Dalton; brothers, Burchell, Carl and Bruce Wolfenbarger; sisters, Grace Phipps and Edna Dyer . Survived by her daughter, Peggy Branson and husband Jim; sons Dennis Dalton and wife Jeannie and Jim Dalton and wife Becky; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarger and wife Carrie; sisters, Ruth Harding and husband Fred of Rutledge, Wawona Moody of Rutledge; June Winkler of Knoxville; special brother-in-law, Carl Dyer ; special sister-in-law Jenny Wolfenbarger; numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks for all the Doctors and staff of Brakebill Nursing Home for their love and care of mother. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8 pm in the Fountain City Chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home with Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarger and Rev. Lindy Apon officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Lung Associations. Family and friends will meet Friday at 10:45 am at Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment at 11 am with grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City. www.mynattfh.com
