WOLFENBARGER , JOHN BURCHELL - age 89, of Knoxville, passed away at his home on Easter Sunday, April 23, 2000. He was a member of Forrest Grove Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zula Lee Wolfenbarger ; mother, Ella Bunch; father and stepmother, Walter and Selda Wolfenbarger ; brother, Carl Wolfenbarger ; and stepbrother, Thomas Harrell. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Robert Lee Driskill and Tiffany Dills Driskilland their expected child, of Knoxville; sons, Johnny Richard Wolfenbarger of Macon, Ga., Michael Wolfenbarger and wife Nan of Colorado; grandchildren, Stephanie and Kelly Wolfenbarger of Macon, Ga. and Chris Wolfenbarger of Knoxville; stepmother, Vada Wolfenbarger of Washburn; sisters, Grace Phipps of Powder Springs, Vorena Dalton and June Winkler of Knoxville, Edna Dyer and husband Carl, Wawona Moody and husband Paul, Ruth Harding and husband Fred, all of Rutledge; brothers, Reverend Oliver Wolfenbarger and wife Carrie of Maynardville, Bruce Wolfenbarger and wife Easter of Cedar Town, Ga.; sister-in-law, Jenny Wolfenbarger of New Market; stepsister, Delphia Wilmoth of Washburn; and stepbrother, Edward Harrell of Knoxville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday April 24 at Highland South Funeral Home, with services following at 8 p.m. Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarger , Rev. Harley Brown and Rev. Travis Sturgill will be officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday April 25 at Highland South Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Colin West, Kenny Dunn, Harold Moody, Dennis Dalton, Bobby Wolfenbarger , and Jackie Dyer. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Phipps. Highland South Funeral Home, 573-7300.
