PHIPPS, GRACE THERSA Age 98 of Powder Springs Passed away Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home in Rutledge. Grace was a member of Johnson's Freewill Baptist Chapel for 84 years. She was preceded in death by: husband, John Herbert Phipps; daughter, Bobbie Jean Phipps; Betty Joe Bailey , whom was a daughter she raised as her own; father Walter Wolfenbarger; mother, Ella Bunch; stepmothers Vada and Salda Wolfenbarger; brothers John Burchell Wolfenbarger, Bruce Wolfenbarger, and Carl Wolfenbarger. She is survived by: son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Louise Phipps; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Larry and Judy Phipps, Doug and Susan Phipps; grandchildren, Greg Bailey , Tina Maggard; great-grandson Jonathan Phipps and fiancée Jada Shadden; great granddaughters Sydnie and Sierra Bailey , Makena and Chloe Maggard; great grandsons and daughter-in-law Jason and Paola Smith and Robert Smith; great-great-grandson Graham Merritt; brother, Reverend Oliver Wolfenbarger; sisters, Edna Dyer, Wawona Moody, Vorena Dalton , Ruth Harbin, June Forester; a host of nieces and nephews; very special sister- and brother-in-law Dane and Vanita Phipps; and special niece Joyce Campbell. Services will be 8:00 P.M. Monday, January 29, 2007 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarger and Rev. Randy Beeler officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in Doyle Wayne Needham Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M., Monday, prior to services. Smith Funeral Home of Rutledge in charge of arrangements.
