Watson, William Clay, age 89 of Knoxville passed away quietly at his home with his family at his side. He was retired from KUB as a line foreman and he was a member of Loveland Baptist Church. William is preceded in death by his parents; R. V. and Della Dyer Watson and a sister Mabel Beeler. Mr. Watson is survived by his wife Margaret Morgan Watson of 70 years, a daughter; Donna Creel, a son; Woody Watson and wife Linda of Knoxville and a sister; Betty Jean (Vic) Lowe.
Additional survivors include three grandchildren; Joe (Angela) Creel, Gina (Jeffrey) Ginn, Laura (Johnny) Biddle and five great grandchildren; Adrienne (Chase) Roberts, Alex Creel, Andrew Biddle, Kelli Jo Hicks and Emma Biddle. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Bridges Funeral Home 5430 Rutledge Pike. Family and friends will meet at 2:45 PM for 3 o’clock pm graveside services at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday. A special thank you to Avalon Hospice for the compassionate care given to Clay. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to YOKE Youth Ministries, P.O. Box 3492, Knoxville, TN. 37927.
