Edna Wolfenbarger Dyer-age 91 of Rutledge, born January 14, 1918 passed away January 31, 2009. She was a member of Wooddale Freewill Baptist Church of Knoxville but recently attended Oakland Baptist Church of Rutledge. Preceded in death by parents: Walter and Selda Wolfenbarger; sister Grace Phipps; brothers Burchell, Carl and Bruce Wolfenbarger; granddaughter Deborah Thorpe. She is survived by her husband of 71 years Carl Dyer; sons Jackie Dyer and wife JoAnn, Jerry Dyer and wife Mary, daughter Beulah Sharp. Seven grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren. Sisters Vorena Dalton, Wawona Moody, June Winkler and special sister and brother-in-law and caregivers Ruth Harding and husband Fred; brother Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarger and wife Carrie; many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by both the Wolfenbarger and Dyer families. Visitation services will be Monday, February 2, 2009 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Highland South Memorial Park Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Stacy Lawson officiating. Interment services will be Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland South Memorial Park with Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarger officiating.
