(June 14, 1950 - May 15, 2010) Kathy Sue Hatmaker Dyer-Jones age 59, of Newport entered her eternal rest on Saturday May 15, 2010 at home surrounded by loved ones. Kathy was a member of West End Baptist Church, Eastern Star, and an active participant in Relay for Life. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Nannie Hatmaker, and husband, Danny Dyer. She is survived by her husband Charles Jones; sons, Steven Dyer of Asheville, NC, and Matthew Dyer of Knoxville, TN; step-daughters, Christy Edmonds of Newport, TN and Kim George of Arab, AL; grandchildren; Daniel Dyer and Emily Edmonds; sister and brother-in-law; Evaline and John Meredith; sister in law Vickey Vann; brother in law Lee Dyer; several nieces , nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and special friends Jay and Mary Ann Chrisman. The family will receive friends Monday, May 17, 2010, between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 pm at Manes Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Larry Cash and Tom Mooty officiating. The interment will be on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at 11:00 am at Union Cemetery in Newport, TN.
