ACUFF, MRS. ADA V. DYER - age 91 of Powder Springs passed away Saturday afternoon, March 3, 2001 at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was the oldest member of Warwicks Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, William Oscar and Pearl (Haun) Dyer ; husband, Owen L. Acuff; brother, Lester L. Dyer ; sister, Gladys Dyer . Survivors, son and daughter in law, Wilbert L. and Edna S. Acuff of Strawberry Plains; brothers, William C. Dyer , Rutledge, Ondus L. Dyer , Knoxville, Herbert R. Dyer , Strawberry Plains; sisters, Della Dyer Watson, Knoxville, Hazel Dyer Merritt, Powder Springs, Opal Dyer Masterson Huntington, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p.m. Mon. Cooke Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Dennis Johnson, Rev. Ray Headrick officiating. Interment Haun Cemetery, Luttrell. The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Monday Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville.
