ATKINS, BOWDEN HENSON - passed away February 18, 2011. He was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church and a 3nd Degree Mason. Mr. Atkins served in the US Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Juanice Collins Atkins; parents, Dock Farris Atkins and Nellie Henson Atkins; and siblings, Jerry Atkins and Virginia Elliot. Survivors include wife, Bobbie M. Atkins; son, Bowden Henson Atkins, Jr. and wife Cathy; daughter, Kelly Atkins Campbell and husband Marvin; grandchildren: Adam and Alex Atkins; great-grandchild, Persephanie Atkins; and sisters, Jimmie Faulkner and Jean Foster. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm on Monday, February 21st at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 8 pm with Rev. Doug Brown officiating.
