Charles Edward Glasscock, age 91, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord, February 14, 2007 at St. Mary’s Hospital, with his family at his bedside. He was a dedicated Christian and member and Deacon of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City. The former owner and operator of Locke Plumbing, treasurer of TAPHCC, past president of Fountain City Lions Club and avid golfer, bowler and longtime fan of U.T. football. Preceded in death by parents, James and Jesse Mae Burrow, brothers, James B. “Mutt” Burrow, Oscar Burrow, Elmer Burrow and Elbert Burrow, sister, Lois Marie Greishaber. Survived by loving wife of 66 years, June Glasscock, sons and daughters in law, Jimmy and Judy Glasscock, Mark and Cindy Glasscock, grandchildren, Joshua Yarbrough and wife Nicole, Amy Smith and husband Chad, Matthew Glasscock, great grandson, Jackson Yarbrough and several nieces and nephews. Service, 8:00 p.m., Saturday, Central Baptist Church Fountain City, Rev. Ron Mouser officiating. Family and friends will meet, 1:45 p.m., Sunday, Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment service at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Central Baptist Church of Fountain City.
