Miss Ellen Davis Claiborne, 18, of Tallahassee, Fla., granddaughter of Mrs. Mona Lee Clotfelter of LaFollette died January 20, 1982, in Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. A native of Arlington, Va., she had lived in Tallahassee for five years. She was Assistant Manager of Hobbit Hoagies and a 1981 graduate of Lincoln High School, both in Tallahassee, Florida. The funeral was Saturday, January 23, 1982, at Cross Funeral Home (new Cross Smith Funeral Home in LaFollette, TN) with the Rev. George Harr officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery (LaFollette, TN). At the time of her death, besides her grandmother, Miss Claiborne is survived by her parents, James Edgar and Maude Clotfelter Claiborne of Tallahassee, Florida. [S87] Death Certificate.
