Edward Dalton (Buddy) Clark, age 80, of Knoxville, formerly of Del Rio and Washington College, TN, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011. He was a disabled veteran, having served in the 101st Airborne and served as Military Police and a member of DAV #24 and Tennessee Veterans Association. He was a volunteer driver for many years for Disabled Veterans Van and was a very active worker in getting approval for the Ben Atchley State Veterans Home. He graduated from Washington College Academy in 1950 and retired from Rental Uniform Company as a route supervisor. He was also an avid vegetable gardener.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Ruth Gibson Clark; father, John Allen Clark; mother, Arabella Bible Clark; 4 sisters and 1 brother. Survivors are wife, Jeanne (Pat) Clark; son, Terry Clark and wife Rose Mary; son, Michael Clark; daughter, Michele Clark Ward and husband Eric; step-daughter, Carla Lowe; grandchildren, John, Joshua, and Meagan Clark, Erin Mayo, Matthew, Andrew, Michael and Elizabeth Ward; great grandchildren, Haley and Heather Clark and Adriana Mayo; brother, Vasie Clark; sisters, Reva Bishop and Iris Treadway; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lynnhurst Greenwood Chapel with Dr. Lee Wallace and Pastor Chris Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors by Tennessee National Guard.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Lynnhurst Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Dr., Knoxville, TN. Condolences may be offered at www.lynnhurstchapel.com.
