He is preceded in death by parents, Elmer Lucius Darnell and Emma Mae Teague; 8 brothers and sisters. He is survived by wife, Martha Darnell, sons, Fred, Jeff, and Larry Darnell, sisters Juanita Keymer, Pricilla Costner, and Dorris McPeters; 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, retired from General Motors after 30 years and a Veteran of the U.S army in the Korean War. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Fellowship Baptist Church building fund. Funeral service 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Jeff Irwin and Rev. Tom Hatley officiating. Graveside service and interment 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery.
