Terry Anthony Payne passed away Sunday February 21, 2016 at Blount Memorial Hospital at the age of 76. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum after 36 1/2 years. Terry was a member of the Steel Workers Union Local 309 and the Betrayed Retirees. He was a member of Smokey View Baptist Church. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Taylor Payne, his mother, Pauline Anthony Payne and his father and mother-in-law Walter and Esther Ridenour. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Pat Ridenour Payne. Daughter and son-in-law Lisha and Darrell Lail of Maiden, NC, son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Susan Payne of Maryville, TN, son and daughter-in-law Robbie and Tracy Payne of Maryville, TN. Grandsons Scott and wife, Michelle Payne, and Andrew and wife, Carrie Payne of Maryville TN, Dustin Paul Payne of Maryville, TN, and Charles Dylan Murrell of Maryville, TN. Granddaughters Jennifer and husband Brandon Hinson of Maiden, NC, Jessica Kate Lail, of Maiden, NC and Chloe Leighann Murrell, of Maryville, TN. Great grandson, Davis Kade Payne. Sisters Shirley and husband Gene Moody of Oakridge, TN, and Christina Stinnett of Maryville, TN. Sister-in-law Sharon and Leroy Vaughn of Walland, TN and several nieces and nephews. Terry loved hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and entombment at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charles Murrell officiating.
