Jerry L. Burnett age 66, of South Knoxville, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, February 1, 2011 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Jerry was a member of Central United Methodist Church. He was owner of Volunteer Gas Control, Inc. Jerry was an antique car enthusiast, enjoyed farming and took pride in mowing his yard. He was preceded in death by parents Lynn and Cora Burnett. Survived by wife of 45 years Patsy Miller Burnett, son and daughter-in-law Barry L. and Lee Burnett of Knoxville, Daughter and son-in-law Lisa L. and Terry Dailey of Dandridge, Granddaughter Emily Burnett of Knoxville, Grandsons Zack and Colby Dailey of Dandridge, Father-in-law and mother-in-law Turner and Verna Miller of Seymour, brothers-in-law Connie Miller of Seymour, Mike Miller of Walland, sister-in-law Susan Wilson of Kodak, several cousins, a host of friends and special pet Fiesty.

A graveside service will be held Friday 11 AM at the Historical Seven Islands Baptist Church with Rev. Denny Ford and Rev. Bruce Galyon officiating.
