ROACH , BEULAH JUANITA - age 77, of West Knoxville, the Amherst Community, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2000. She was a resident of Shannondale Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford S. Thompson; brother, Harvey Elkins ; and a grandson, Jimmy Steele. She was a member of Bethel Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Lillard Edgar Roach ; daughters and sons-in-law, Geraldine T. and Willis Chandler Byrd and Barbara and James Hobbs; sisters, Ruby Ford and Trula Thompson; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Interment service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Piney Grove Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phillip Byrd, Chandler Byrd, Henry Cochran Jr., Timmy Morris, Randy Morris, and Bryan Lloyd. Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave. 865-588-3868 in charge.
