PAUL F. “POLECAT” TALLEY, age 78, of Dandridge, TN passed away, Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home. He was born and raised in Grainger County, the son of the late Frank and Buena V. Watson Talley, of whom he was the last surviving child, being preceded in death by sisters, Una Mae Trent, Halladean Davies, Ina Pearl Cameron, Imogene Cameron and Marilyn Moody; brothers, Euel, H.G., Robert “Bob”, and Glenn Talley. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. a long-time employee of Dillard Smith Construction Co. and retired from Appalachian Electric Cooperative. “Polecat” was a prominent farmer of Jefferson Co. and enjoyed trading cattle. He is survived by his wife for over 50 years, Nancy “Jimmie” Talley; son: Richard Talley and his wife, Eva Talley; daughter: Jill Talley and her husband, Mike Howard; grandchildren, Will, Ty, and Jake Talley; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to extend their special appreciation to the entire staff of Jefferson Co. Nursing Home, Amedisys Hospice and “Claire”(Cindy Jones), Carolyn and Dr. Rual Swanson for their care and services. Funeral service will be Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, 8:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Dezearn officiating. Interment graveside services Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, 11:00am at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, where family and friends will assemble at 10:45. Family will receive friends Monday evening, 6:00 to 8:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE 865-397-2711
