Eddie Cameron , 55, of Akron, died on July 13 at Akron City Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Cameron was born in Rutledge, Tenn., and lived in the Akron area most of his life. He was the owner-operator of the Cameron Moving Co., and attended the Cuyahoga Falls Chapel Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Cameron of Rutledge, Tenn.; and his sister, Virgia (Mossie) Solomon of Union Level, Va. He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Jo; daughter, Brenda K.; sons, Glenn E., Timothy M. and Bruce W.; stepson, David B. Hopson; stepdaughters, Vikki Jo West and Vallery S. Hopson; granddaughters, Amber Jo and Brittany Nicole West, all of Akron. He also leaves his mother, Cora Cameron of Morristown, Tenn.; sisters, Grace (Tommy) Jarnigan of Newmarket, Tenn., Imogene (Otis) Daniels of Blaine, Tenn. and Irene (Bill) Tester of Morristown, Tenn.; brothers, Marlvin Cameron of Durango, Colo., Jady (Ina Pearl) Cameron of Rutledge, Tenn. and Kenneth (Imogene) of Knoxville, Tenn.; numerous loved nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. Saturday, 3 p.m., with Rev. Richard Woodin officiating. Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. TODAY.
