Peter Lee Smith , 54, of Del City, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004. He was born to Pete and Helen L. Smith on Aug. 18, 1950 in Okla. City. Pete lived all his life in Mid Del area graduating from Del City High in 1968. He received an Associates Degree in Electronics. Before Pete's disability occurred he was employed for Mistletoe Express. Pete was known to help others with any assistance he could do such as mowing, mechanical work, and electronics. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Pete was an accomplished paraplegic scuba diver. Pete is survived by his 3 sons; Christopher & wife Katie, Ryan & wife Jennifer, and Jeffrey & wife Ashley, granddaughter soon to be Aydan Smith , his mother Helen, brother Michael & wife Rosie, 2 sisters; Rosemary Greenlee, and Paula Cole & husband Leroy, 5 nephews; Matt, Michael, Daniel, Zachary, and Jonathan, and niece Sandra. Pete was preceded in death by his father Edgar L. "Pete" Smith . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Aydan Smith Education Fund at O.E. Credit Union, c/o Aydan Smith OECU, 1704 S. Air Depot, Midwest City, OK 73110. Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday 9/2/2004 in the Barnes & Johnson FH Chapel.
