WESTON , TAVORRES D. (BUBBA), SR. - age 26, went to be with the Lord and Savior on December 24, 1998, at UT Medical Center. Tavorres was a faithful employee of Lays Packing Co. Tavorres received many awards for most valuable player for basketball. He truly enjoyed life, therefore God prepared him a place. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie Cates Brabson and George Brabson, Sr.; grandmother, Ora Lee Reece; great-grandparents, Augustus Cates, Paul and Etholia Brabson; cousins, Spencer Wright, Emanuel Wykle; brother-in-law, Rahsaan K. Martin. He leaves to cherish his loving memory: very devoted and loving wife, Venisha Weston ; beloved and devoted mother, Lola M. Cates; father, Robert J. Weston ; very loving five year old son, Tavorres D. Weston , Jr.; sisters, Stephanie Nicole Weston , Tameka Weston ; mother-in-law, Sherry (Charles) Martin Smith; brothers-in-law, Tavares Tobin, Davon Johnson, Anthony Johnson; devoted aunts, Sandra (Papadoc) Boya, Bonita (Billy) Henegar, Katrina (Zachary) Merchant; devoted uncles, Richard (Vicky) Brabson, Carl (Michelle) Brabson, George Brabson, Jr., Joyce Cates Wykle, Stella (Andrew) Nichols, Ola Martin, Pauline Cates; very devoted cousins, Excina Cates, Bottavain Boya, Docdupree Boya, Saundrell Boya, Etholia Brabson, Sankinna Merchant, Maurice Merchant, Michael Drew, Jr., Michelle, Tyneaqua, Jemarcus, Tivon, Orlando, Shelverton; devoted friends of him and family, LaRhonda McKenzie, James McKenzie and family, Ron (Cheryl) and Lee (Angie) Ross, Patrick Allen, Weston family, employees of Lays, David Butler, Charles Cantrell and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 31, 1998, at Unity Mortuary Chapel from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral to follow. Bishop B. J. Moore officiating. Interment at New Gray Cemetery.
